The Sea Is Rising

Off the back of the tour announcement that made faces across the country melt in unison comes The Sea is Rising, the strongest suit off the group's monster new album, Flying Colours. The highly acclaimed third LP has already spawned two colossal hit singles in Bullet and a Target and Woodstock 2008. The ARIA top 10 album is now the highest selling local hip-hop release of the past year and has raised the trio's profile immensely amongst the industry.
This piece de resistance in Bliss N Eso's magnificent balancing act manages to cover serious issues while maintaining the same magnetic, light-hearted charisma that has taken them from underground legends to household names.
The Sea is Rising's incredible video clip features the trio in some of Sydney's most iconic locations, including the Bra Boys' famous barbecue spot at Maroubra beach and a stroll down an abandoned Eveleigh Street – landscapes that symbolise two of Australia's darkest moments over the past decade and ones that also represent the strong multicultural ideals of Bliss N Eso.
The influence for the track came as the boys found themselves becoming increasingly politically and environmentally aware and as always, they wanted their music to reflect their mind-state. This awareness is what is shaping the world's current generation and this is an anthem to unite young people who give a damn.
Even when Bliss N Eso care about the planet they infuse it with enough awesome juice to make your brain dissolve.
