Shwayze & Cisco Adler - Confirm Australian Headline Shows

Friday, 29 January 2010
Illusive Entertainment is proud to announce that LA trendsetters and one of the coolest Hipster hip hop / indie acts are coming to Australia taking in Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast for the very first time next month...Shwazye (a.k.a Aaron Smith) and Cisco Adler are no overnight success story... His first self-titled album Shwayze, ushered the unlikely duo to unlikely heights. A string of multiple hits ("Buzzin'," "Corona and Lime") fueled by millions of Internet plays carried them to top ten album sales, landed them a coveted slot on the Vans Warped Tour, and turned them into reality television stars on MTV.
Moving onto 2009, Shwayze and Cisco have just released a new album – "Let It Be" featuring contributions from New Orleans hip-hop duo The Knux, Shwayze's lifelong hero Snoop Dogg, Ric Ocasek from the Cars, and Darryl Jenifer, bassist for legendary D.C. punk band Bad Brains. "Let It Beat" is a fearless experiment held together by the controlled yet casual guidance of Adler's production.
The first single, "Get U Home," was the feature song for the '09 film Sorority Row. Since then, Shwayze has gone on to appear on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show, performed on Good Morning America, as well as being featured in a nation wide ad campaign for Pontiac Vibe. Add to the list the fact that Shwayze has sold over 2 million singles, was the Headlining act on the summer '08 Vans Warped Tour & '09 Bamboozle Festival and costantily touring with supports acts including Mickey Avalon, B.o.B., Anjulie, Cold Flamez, The Knux, Tyga, and Laze & Royal.
